URGO sterile dressing Burns and superficial wounds relieve pain and promote wound healing
Urgo Burns and Superficial Wounds is a sterile dressing and its effectiveness is due to a new technology gauze made up of a polyester fabric impregnated with hydrocolloid and petroleum jelly particles, which relieve pain and promote wound healing. Thanks to this combination of both substances, the Urgo Burns and Superficial Wounds dressing do not adhere to the wound, allowing a painless removal.
Composition:
Non-woven extensible support in flesh color with polyester mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid particles (carboxymethylcellulose) and petroleum jelly.
Format:
Sterile dressings in individual sachets.
Box of 6 dressings, small format (dressing: 5 x 7 cm / tulle: 2.7 x 4.5 cm)
Box with 4 dressings, large format (dressing: 10 x 7 cm / tulle: 7.3 x 4.5 cm)
How to use
For a superficial 2nd degree burn: Keep the wound in cold water for approximately 15 minutes to limit the extent of the burn.
In all cases:
1. Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic
2. Rinse with water or saline solution.
3. In case of burns, do not use colored antiseptics of the eosin type.
4. Dry the wound with a sterile compress.
5. As far as possible, respect the blister, as it is a barrier against infection. If it is pierced, disinfect it. It is not necessary to remove the dead skin, if it does not come off on its own.
6. Remove the protection wings.
7. Apply the URGO Burns dressing on the area to be treated.
8. It is not recommended to use a cream before applying URGO Burns.
9. The treatment normally lasts 5 to 6 days, with a dressing change at
24 hours and then every 48 hours.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of deep 2nd and 3rd degree burns or facial burns. In these cases, consultation with a doctor is mandatory.
Precautions for use:
The URGO Burns dressing should be used only for the treatment of localized wounds. For optimal absorption of exudates, the URGO Burns dressing pad should be larger than the area of the burn to be treated.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist:
If there is no improvement after 6 days of treatment.
In the event that the affected person is a child.
If there are clinical signs of local infection (the red color spreads to the unaffected skin, pain ...).
URGO dressings for burns and superficial wounds should be applied immediately after opening. Protect from heat, light and humidity.
