Ingredients
Water, alcohol, Daisy (Bellis perennis L.) flowers 20%, honey.
The tender leaves of the very common Margarita were added to salads to give them a particular flavor and make them refreshing. For internal use, the flowers or the rootless plant have, especially in infusion form, mild laxative properties, but above all diuretic, diaphoretic (stimulate sweating) and purifying.
Some authors suggest associating the daisy with other plants with cleansing virtues, such as dandelion or chicory. For external use, daisy has astringent anti-inflammatory properties useful for common irritations of the mouth, throat and reddened eyelids.
These properties can be used in cosmetic use to clarify the epidermis, clean areas macerated by sweat, decongest the face and the area around the eyes. Among its constituents we must remember: triterpenic saponosides, flavonoids, sesquiterpenes, phenolic acids, essential oil, tannins and polysaccharides.
Margarita has similar properties to Arnica, but with lower risks of allergic sensitization.
