Water, alcohol, Echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia DC.) Rhizome 20%, honey.
Echinacea has identified various constituents whose biological activity has been documented; among these, volatile oil, campmides, polyakenes and polyalkines, derivatives of caffeic acid and polysaccharides. It has bacteriostatic and virus-static properties, properties already verified on numerous bacterial and viral strains (herpes viruses, influenza A and B, etc.) and on trichomonas.
The alkylamides and contained polyines act directly on the microorganisms; etheroxylans stimulate different immune cell lines by inducing IL-1 release.
Excellent as a stimulator of the immune response, as an anti-inflammatory in infective and autoimmune pathologies, as an aid to the epithelium in case of wounds, this last property due to an active principle (echinacoside) capable of inhibiting the enzyme jaluronidase, slowing down the penetration speed of the microorganisms in the tissues, accelerates the healing of wounds and reduces the risk of infections. The roots and aerial parts of the plant are used. It can be useful as an adjuvant in influenza, immune depression, colds, autoimmune syndromes, fever, connectivitis, dermatitis, furunculosis and thrush.
