On the skin, Tea Tree Oil has antifungal, antiviral and antimicrobial properties and can be used on acneic skin, wounds, as a nail, etc.

It is a natural essential oil distilled from the Melaleuca alternifolia tree, traditionally used to treat wounds and skin infections.

Tea Tree Oil has a composition well characterized by more than 100 constituents, among which terpenes stand out, specifically Terpinen-4-ol and α-terpineol are the constituents to which most of the properties of this oil.

Recent studies have shown that Tea Tree Oil possesses a wide range of biological properties including antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and prevents and helps in the treatment against lice (pediculosis) and other parasitic conditions.

Properties:

Antiparasitic properties: it has been proven that tea tree oil helps prevent the spread of lice, some studies even suggest that it could be used as a natural repellent due to the increased resistance against compounds that have traditionally been used. In addition, other studies have shown that it is also effective in treating other eye parasites.

Antifungal properties: scientific studies have shown that Tea Tree Oil is very effective in treating infections caused by fungi, dermatophytes and yeasts. Specifically, it has been shown to prevent and help treat candidiasis caused by an overgrowth of the Candida albicans fungus.

Antiviral Properties: This product is effective in treating herpes simplex. In addition, scientific studies support its effectiveness against Molluscum contagiosum, a very widespread virus that is very annoying for children.

Antiseptic properties: it has been shown to be effective against most of the bacteria that cause infections such as E. coli or S. aureus.
