LIPOIC ACID (MEGA PLUS) Powerful universal antioxidant 60 CAPSULES
Alpha-lipoic acid, also known as lipoic, is a coenzyme that has an antioxidant, hypoglycemic and energizing effect. It is considered the universal antioxidant due to its fat-soluble and water-soluble condition that allows it to act in any part of the body.
It has an insulin-mimicking effect without side effects so that it significantly increases the use of glucose in the blood, thus increasing energy production and reducing the accumulation of fat in the body. Alpha-lipoic acid stimulates our immune system as it is a natural promoter of interferon, a substance that our body produces to fight infections.
Another application of lipoic acid is in liver disease where it helps eliminate toxins and therefore improve liver function. Our body is capable of synthesizing lipoic acid in a natural way, from the amino acid cysteine, but in a small quantity and that is why it is convenient to supplement our diet with its contribution.
A daily intake of 100 mg with food is considered adequate to start, however, afterwards between 400-600 mg can be taken daily divided into doses of 200 mg. Although it lacks toxicity, it should not be taken more than 600 mg daily since better results are not achieved by increasing the intake.
INGREDIENTS: maltodextrin, alpha lipoic acid (25%), vegetable capsule [hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, colorants (iron oxides and hydroxides)], emulsifier (magnesium salts of fatty acids).
